Street

Where’s everybody?

What amazed me here in Leipzig back in 2004 were the empty or almost empty streets. I mean you cannot expect this freedom of motion in a big Ukrainian city, there are really a lot of people in the streets all the time, you have to be on guard and watch your step. My street here in Germany is kind of close to the downtown, you can take a bus and reach it in 7-10 minutes, but sometimes it looks like I’m in a zombie apocalypse movie – the city is empty and you must fight for the food, guns and women. Sundays are all the same, it’s very quiet and nobody’s around. Every bus or tram looks really strange here, like a robot or an android who still functions after all the mankind died in a nuclear war :) And on Mondays it becomes just a little different, it’s also very quiet and that surprises me actually, ’cause a kindergarten’s located just across the street!

Just look at that – this is how my street looks on Sundays:

And here is it on Monday:

Do you see any difference?
