I have to confess I've never been a huge Venom fan but I'm definitely a fan of the album “From The Very Depths”. I was used to classic Venom being more heavy punk than metal in the full sense of the word, but this album seemed really cool to me! Finally melodies, finally riffs, finally real songs! Maybe not very technically complex, but exactly what I needed at that moment. I highly recommend it to those who are looking for simple, but very catchy metal, to which you can bang your head :)
“Crucified” is one of my favorites and I love the main 3-notes riff. Sometimes you just don't need more notes to create a metal banger! I didn't even try to reproduce the original sound of Сronos, as it is useless. Especially since his custom bass has no frets after the 12th fret, which gives a very original sound, and... the tuning! Pay attention to the tuning because I'm not used to playing in C#, it's just too low and the strings buzz too much. If you can work with that – please do so. Or you can remake the part for the standard tuning.
