1994 was a weird year for a KISS fan. KISS didn't release anything but an official cover album “Kiss My Ass – Classic Kiss Regrooved” and I remember myself having mixed feelings about it. On the other hand, Peter Criss finally released an album with his long-suffering band Criss called "Cat #1" (if you don't know why this album was long-suffering, I highly recommend reading Peter's autobiography). And this album was... a bit weird. Don't get me wrong, there were a lot of good songs on it (and "Blue Moon Over Brooklyn" blew the minds of almost all KISS fans), but on the other hand, the quality of the recording and mixing could have been better. This is a debatable issue of course. When I took on "Bad People Burn In Hell", to be honest, I didn't think that this song had such an interesting bass line, but in the end I was pleasantly surprised. Mark Montague did a great job!
