Bass Cover #240: ACE FREHLEY - Fightin' For Life

I can't even begin to tell you how much Ace Frehley meant to me, both in KISS and solo. I never saw him in KISS, but I did see him perform solo twice (Berlin 2009 and Hamburg 2015), and each time it was incredibly cool! He still had THAT sound, get it? THAT sound from “Alive II”... Ace was (for me) the most talented musician in the original KISS lineup. He was, as they say, a raw diamond who, despite his legendary laziness and love of life, still managed to write an incredible number of great songs. As a bassist, it's hard for me to give Ace a proper tribute, but I will continue to play his songs as often as possible. Today I present to you a song from his latest album "10,000 Volts," called "Fightin' For Life". Cool track, great song, simple yet driving bass part played by Steve Brown. Enjoy! And rest in peace, Ace! You'll be remembered forever.
