You might not know the Spanish band Mecano, but I doubt you've never heard the song “Hijo de la Luna”. It's one of those songs that haunts you wherever you go. Mysterious, romantic, with tragic lyrics... I actually only recently heard about Mecano, as I first heard it performed by the band Theatres des Vampires from Italy. However, many people have covered it by now... even Montserrat Caballé and Sarah Brightman! As for the bass – it's my own interpretation. You know, if a song doesn't have a clear bass line, I love to imagine what I would play and basically just write my own part. If you like it – awesome, if you don't – it's awesome too. Go play your own version, I'd love to hear it.
As a reminder, you'll find all my bass covers with tabs on my YouTube channel. Let's finally get my channel to 5,000 subscribers, otherwise it's starting to look like a freaking nonsense!
